“If you can dream it, you can do it." – Walt Disney

Ms. Barraza was raised in the Central Valley and is a proud graduate of Farmersville High School. As a first-generation college graduate, she earned a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a master's degree in Teaching. Her educational journey reflects both her passion for working with young learners and her belief in the power of education to transform lives. She is committed to inspiring a love of learning while helping students build confidence, curiosity, and a strong foundation for future success.

Ms. Barraza began her career with The Academies as an instructional aide at Blue Oak Academy before serving as a substitute teacher at both Sycamore Valley Academy and Blue Oak Academy. She now teaches at Sycamore Valley Academy, where she brings a strong background in child development and a passion for early childhood education.

One of Diana's favorite things about SVA is its warm, supportive community, where every student is encouraged to express themselves, discover their unique strengths, and reach their full potential. She values the kindness and enthusiasm of her students and is grateful to be part of a school that nurtures the whole child.

Outside of the classroom, Diana enjoys spending time with her son, Ezekiel, who also attends SVA. She loves reading, exploring the outdoors, caring for her plants, and spending time with her two German Shepherds.
