Mrs. Halsted is proud to be part of the Sycamore Valley Academy community, where she values the strong sense of connection and support among students, families, and staff.

She earned her degree in Early Childhood Development from Fresno Pacific University and holds a teaching credential in Mild/Moderate Special Education. Born in Fresno and raised in Visalia, Mrs. Halsted has deep roots in the Central Valley and a passion for supporting and nurturing the next generation.

Her teaching philosophy is grounded in empathy and a whole-child approach, supporting students’ academic growth while also fostering their social, emotional, and physical development. She believes every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.
