Susan Kappes is a dedicated educator at Sycamore Valley Academy who is passionate about creating a classroom where every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired to learn.

As the daughter of an Army family, Susan spent her childhood moving throughout North America, an experience that gave her a deep appreciation for diverse communities and perspectives. She earned her bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Fresno Pacific University and completed both her teaching credential and Master of Arts in Teaching through UMass Global.

 

Teaching has always been Susan's lifelong dream, and she feels grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of her students each day. She values the supportive community at Sycamore Valley Academy and enjoys helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Outside of school, Susan lives in Visalia with her husband and their three sons. As a family, they enjoy visiting Disneyland, building LEGO® creations, playing Roblox, and making memories together.
