The mission of the SVA PTO is to support the mission of Sycamore Valley Academy by fostering active participation in an inclusive community and inspiring a sense of ownership. We strive to enhance the educational journey of SVA studnets, parents, and staff by supporting academic and enrichment activities, creating meaningful, nurturing and challenging opportunities for all.
The primary objective of a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to provide a school with funds, programs, resources and services that enrich the academic experience of every student and support teachers and staff. All funds raised by the SVA PTO go toward items and opportunities not covered by the school budget. Beyond fundraising, the SVA PTO seeks to foster a greater sense of community by creating opportunities for family and community involvement.
A $10.00 membership donation is requested, but not required, to become a member of the SVA PTO.
In order to vote at meetings or run in elections, you must complete and submit a Membership Form, even if you elect not to pay dues.
Meetings are usually held on the second Monday of the month at 6:00 PM. Our meetings this year will be held at Round Table Pizza on Mooney Blvd. Advance notice of meeting time and location will be provided via email to SVA PTO members and on the SVA PTO Facebook Page.
